Stoney is a big dog in a little package. He only weighs 8 lbs. but he can hang with any size dog. He loves to play, he is great at fetch and loves all the dogs and cats in his foster home, he also enjoys long walks and does well in the car. He is sweet and affectionate and at night will cuddle right up with you and sleep all night long. He bonds hard with his person and will follow you everywhere and will not be too happy if you leave, he also loves the older child in the home. Since he is such an active puppy, he is looking for a home with a fenced yard, a fur sibling to play with and an active family that will take him on walks and go places with him. He is newly potty trained so will need a family that can continue to be consistent with him. He has never been crated because he is so well behaved in his home. Sarah---Sweet and Sassy!! This little girl loves hugs and kisses, but she can get sassy if it takes too long to fix her breakfast! Sarah is a happy baby who loves meeting new pups and people. At just 9 weeks, Sarah is learning what commands and potty training are all about. Every morning her foster family takes her for a walk on the leash and she is catching on fast. Sarah loves playtime with her family and also is happy to entertain herself with toys. She is so cute when she rolls around on the floor with a soft blanket! Sarah is comfortable spending the night in her bed inside the crate. This pup has not yet been altered and requires an extra $100 spay/neuter deposit. JCAPL will pay for the procedure at a partner clinic and once completed, the deposit will be refunded to the adopter. However, a non-local adopter is required to pay for the spay/neuter at their own veterinarian by a specific date. After proof of the procedure is provided, $50 of the adoption fee will be refunded with the deposit. If you are interested in adopting this puppy (or any other JCAPL pet), please complete an application and either email it to the help@jcapl.org or fax it to (919)300-5524. Crow is part of our "Sons of Anarchy" litter. He is 15 weeks old. He is one of the 5 males out of the litter of 6. Crow is the spiciest puppy of them all. He is very vocal with people and other dogs. He was the runt but certainly has the biggest attitude. He is rough and rowdy with everyone, his littermates and other dogs alike. He will do best in a home with older children and with someone who has an understanding of the breed as he is going to want to rule everything around him. He loves to chew and play like his siblings. He is potty and crate trained. Meet Ollie! There’s so much to say about this very big personality. Ollie is a very sweet and spunky 1 year old cattle dog mix. He is very smart (he knows how to sit, lay down, roll over, spin, “stick ‘em up!”, heel, wait, and more!). Ollie would love to have an active family. He loves a good game of fetch and tug-of-war. He also likes to run - he even knows how to run alongside a person riding a skateboard! Ollie loves to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air from his foster’s patio, and it’s clear that he would love to have a yard of his own. He's really into yoga and does the downward dog and cobra pose almost every time he wakes up from his beauty sleep. While exercise is great, Ollie’s truest passion is napping. He snores like an old man, and you can often find him sleeping on his back when he really gets into it. He’s great with children and strangers - he’s a family dog at his core. Ollie loves treats and will do anything for a little bit of cheese (don’t we all have our guilty pleasures?). He’s silly and loves to carry his toys outside with him when he goes out to potty. He’s got a wiggle butt when he walks and gets the zoomies any time, he touches sand. Ollie really loves colder temperatures and gets hot easily, so we do recommend having lots of shade for him if you’re in a hotter climate. Ollie just wants to snuggle up by your side at the end of the day. If you need a movie marathoning buddy, he's your guy. While Ollie is simply amazing, he does have some special needs that his forever home should know about. He’s dog selective and has a history of resource guarding people, toys, and treats from other dogs (he does not guard things from humans, thankfully). "Dog selective" means that he does really well with some dogs (especially low-energy dogs) and not as well with others (typically high-energy dogs). Because of this, Ollie would do best in a single-dog household with a fenced in backyard where he can play without fear of bad interactions with other dogs. Ollie has anxiety and a sensitive stomach. He has struggled in the past with isolation anxiety which the fosters have helped him work through, but you may need to help him acclimate to your home and build up his trust that you will return. Ollie is particularly fearful of loud electronic beeping and noisy appliances like dishwashers or vacuums. His crate is his safe space, and he may need to go there to cope with the scary world around him. His fosters have him well-controlled on an anxiety medication and high fiber diet, but this is something that can take extra patience, love, and understanding from his owners. Ollie is the perfect dog for the right family. He is smart, loving, and in need of a family with a stable environment for him to thrive. Could that be you? Sable is a 4 yr. old rottweiler mix, she weighs 95lbs. Sable is a very sweet girl. She loves belly rubs and playing with her ball in the backyard. She is house/crate trained. Loves going for walks. She will do best with a fenced yard. She can be a bit dog selective and does better with male dogs but would prefer to be an only dog in the home. She will also need a cat free home.
