Kiya had a home as a kitten, but her family did not take her when they moved.  A very nice lady who helps local cats contacted JCAPL and offered to foster Kiya until she was adopted. Unfortunately, Kiya did not handle the stress of PetSmart very well and had to be returned to her foster home. In addition, the other cats made her unhappy so meet and greets did not go well. These cases where stressed cats do not “show well” can be difficult, and we worried she would not find a forever home.

But then one day her angel walked in. She understood how to deal with Kiya and gave her lots of time and space in her new home to get used to her new humans and canine siblings.  We are so happy that Kiya is home!
